Jeff Catlett, Division Manager
Jeff started his career in 1981 with Craigie Inc., which dealt primarily in regional municipal bonds issuances. Jeff held several positions at Craigie, from runner and general services associate to operating the firm’s DTC clearance desk and eventually overseeing numerous functions that included daily report processing and distribution, P&S, dividends, security set-up, trade input, account set-up and maintenance, and customer asset maintenance and reconciliation.
BB&T bought Craigie in 1998, and in May 1999 Jeff helped facilitate the merger between Craigie and Scott & Stringfellow which was subsequently bought by BB&T in 1999. Jeff worked for Scott & Stringfellow, overseeing various departments that included fail control, dividends, corporate actions, new account services, ACATS, and reconciliation.
Prior to joining Craigie, Jeff attended Virginia Commonwealth University in its commercial arts program. Jeff holds a FINRA Financial and Operations Principal Series 27 registration.
Jeff and his wife, Katie, have been married since 1983 and have two sons.
